The La Salle pre-university summer Animation program is specially crafted for high school students who are interested in the area of Animation and Visual Effects. La Salle Campus Barcelona is referent in the area of New Technologies, and pioneer in the application of technology to Art and Design, in areas such as Multimedia and more recently with the Official Undergraduate Degree in Animation and VFX.
Learn to create your own 3D character, taking into account aspects such as modeling, animation, lighting and visual effects. Animation techniques can be applied in many settings, but mainly in production of series, application of digital visual effects and audiovisual content and videogames derived...
In this course you will learn the basics of 3D modelling and animation with the help of professional tools and methods. During the course you will create your own 3D character, like the ones used in cartoons, 3D films or videogames.
Outline of Course Modules:
- Principles of animation and character design
- Introduction to Maya interface
- Basic modelling and rendering tools
- Basic 3D animation
- Personal project
The course is organized in morning and afternoon sessions that will combine theoretical and practical work. The teaching methodology will be driven by the learning-by-doing principle where the professors and students jointly develop the digital characters. The classroom will be equipped with a high performance dual screen 3D workstation for each student with the latest version of professional software such as Maya, ZBrush, Nuke or Photoshop.
All classes include specific social and cultural activities to get to know Barcelona, its history, and people. You will take classes with students of different nationalities and backgrounds at a University of International Excellence, as named by the Government of Spain.
